After years as a therapist, Barbra Gilman concluded that most people do not need therapy but are asking deeper questions: What is my relationship to the universe? Who am I? Why am I here? How can I create a successful and happy life for myself and my loved ones? This book, inspired by the author’s workshops, “Living Life Eyes Wide Open”, explores these fundamental questions, with 38 exercises to manifest your fondest dreams.
“The Unofficial Guide for Living Successfully on Planet Earth gives the reader tools to navigate life’s challenges from a spiritual rather than a psychological perspective. This book is done simply and succinctly, with practical applications rather than conceptual exercises. To quote Barbra, herself, ‘this book will help you learn how to become intimate with yourself.’ I love the simple effectiveness of this book and believe it to be a must on your journey to self-exploration. I recommend this book at all the Indigo Children and Kryon seminars worldwide. It has become an Indigo workbook.”

“Barbra is brilliant! After years of therapy, I discovered that rambling on about my past was not the solution for me. What I needed were results that would work immediately. Barbra’s book was able to target those areas. For years I was guarded and defensive but with her humor and love that poured out of the pages I knew that if I applied her teachings, and completed the workbook I would get the results that I wanted. And I did! It is great to be alive and thanks to Barbra I have a much richer and fulfilled life.”

“So many of us feel the spiritual tug of our inner lives. But what does it mean to follow it? By accepting Barbra’s guidance, we find the path, and it is like coming home.
This book belongs in every seeker’s home. It answers many questions about what it means to live a spiritual life. The author presents this material with refreshing humor yet great respect. Her examples of personal issues solved in spiritual ways make this work down to Earth and real. And for seekers who do best with step-by-step guidance, there’s an easy to follow workbook. Wherever your spiritual search leads you, this book will shine a bright light on the path ahead.
I first saw this book about two years before its publication and was impressed by the simple, straightforward and even humorous style the author had for introducing complex spiritual and metaphysical concepts. There are a few authors around who are able to do this. Gilman takes on a lot. She explains what we can be responsible for in our lives, and what we can’t; what it means to raise the level of our own consciousness in order to manifest a more satisfying life; and even gives a model for considering life after life. There’s more in this little book, too. And being able to have key metaphysical issues available in such a compact presentation is a real gift. Serious students of these issues, or people who might want to pursue these subjects further, can move on after reading this book, to seek more expansive explorations. But I, for one, am grateful that someone could put so much together in one place, giving a launching point, and reference point that inspires, instructs and even entertains.”
